Quick report update..............

Skegness entertained Stamford town in the quarter final of the Lincolnshire cup. They produced an upset by beating one of the better teams in the county. The seasiders played in their change strip, black, because of a clash with Stamford’s stripes. Captain Jackson watched from the side line because of an injury so it was left to his vice Divilly to lead his men.
The visiting team took the game straight to Skegness. Manful defending was required in order to stop the wave after wave of attacks. Machin was at the forefront of the defence and his back row brethren Johnson and Pearson combined youth and experience to halt the Stamford hordes.
The back line began to shine once more as Smith, J. Cameron and Wood all had good runs down the touch line. Hill also used his trademark handoff and his running off ruck and scrums tested the defence.
